It’s AI in a Box!
It’s AI in a Box! aims to decisively strengthen the knowledge and decision-making skills of K-12 students about the pioneering technology “AI” – with an interdisciplinary, highly attractive learning laboratory for K-12 students to touch, experiment and participate in. The learning lab will be developed together with scientists and students and will be rent free of charge to schools and educational institutions in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg and beyond. At the same time, this is intended to further develop FAU’s expertise in learning lab pedagogy – a highly effective learning tool that has been gaining in importance at schools and universities for years. Finally, the project – such a learning lab on AI for K-12 students is currently new – aims to strengthen FAU’s pioneering role as a highly innovative location nationwide and to promote the university or a degree course in the relevant subject areas: Among other things, the learning lab also presents the AI research areas at FAU. At the same time, the aim is to establish links to future employers with industrial partners from the field of artificial intelligence and to emphasize the innovative power of this technology.
The project is a cooperation between the Nuremberg School Museum, the FAU Chair of Computer Science Education and the FAU Chair of Computer Science 3 (Computer Architecture).
