Box 07: Crypto Battle

Who decodes faster? AI systems or conventional algorithms?

Data-based AI systems work differently from ” classic” algorithms: Instead of all elements of behavior being fixed by a programmer, the algorithm of a data-based AI system is trained using large amounts of data. This means that the algorithm analyzes and extracts patterns and correlations in the data. Following the training process, the identified correlations are the basis for the algorithm’s behavior. Working on this box, students decode a text either by constructing a regular algorithm (fixed, strictly pre-programmed sequence the programmer must develop) or by taking the role of a data-based AI system (learning from sample data).
